The Story of how Seed Stones Began

"When my prayer partner and I were praying, we asked God how we could share more with people about His reality.  God gave us the idea of painting on stones and writing messages on them, that we could then just place around the city.
We realised this was a way of sharing God's truth with people in a way that was possibly more acceptable to people today.
Some people just read them and leave them, others pick them up and keep them, some don't even see them.  However, it gives people a choice, they are not pressured.  We have noticed that they do disappear quite quickly, and we just pray that God will use these "seeds" in people's lives".

  Why Seed Stones
are great tools for Evangelism

· They are non-confrontational - people can choose whether they pick them up or not.   · Seed Stones often go into homes and places where there is little or no Christian witness.   · Unlike tracts, Seed Stones are permanent and cannot be destroyed.   · Seed Stones have two coats of varnish, therefore are not ruined by the weather.   · Seed Stones are attractive as they all have hand-painted pictures on them.   · Because Seed Stones are picked up as a free gift, they are seen to be a unique treasure and therefore shown to friends and family.   · Each Seed Stone has a message which is clear and concise, with a complete verse on the back of the stone.   · Seed Stones encourage people to think about God.   · Seed Stones can also be given as a beautiful gift for friends and family

have touched people's lives:

 
*A High School student was on her way to start at a new school.  She was very anxious about her first day and was in need of reassurance and encouragement.  She noticed a Seed Stone on the footpath outside her house and she picked it up.  The Words on the Seed Stone were just perfect for her situation and she felt that God spoke to her through the message on the stone, giving her peace and confidence for the day.
 
 
*A Christian lady shared how she found a Seed Stone while up the main street of her town.  As she went to pick it up, she felt God say that it was not for her, but to leave it there on the footpath for the person that God had in mind.  A few days later while visiting a brand new Christian, she noticed the same Seed Stone she had seen a few days earlier, sitting on the lady's coffee table.  The new Christian excitedly shared with her how the Words and Scripture on the Seed Stone had been instrumental in taking away the doubts she had been having..  She said it was like a message from God to her.
 
 
*After planting stones outside a local High School, one Grandmother heard back from her teenage Grandson that two of his non-Christian friends had picked up the stones.  They had taken them home, put them on their bedside tables and were calling them their "God Stones".
